Shiny New World will be a 90 minute horror comedy about Barry (50), an out of his luck construction worker, who accidentally gets caught up in a bloody power struggle between demons in human disguise. He discovers his true purpose in life: cleaning up the mess the demons leave behind.

In the world of Shiny New World, demons are living among us. Accidentally summoned up by drunken teenagers and occult sects who had no idea what they were doing, they are now hiding in plain sight, having no choice but to try and co-exist with humans. However, a power-crazy demon named Roderick considers this way of living a farce and goes on a bloody mission to turn his kind back into the wild creatures they once were.

A twist of fate turns Barry into the unlikely hero who has to take on Roderick.

The film is aiming at an international horror and comedy audience. The screenplay is finished and we are currently discussing co-producing, financing and distribution.

We are very happy to announce that the Netherlands Film Fund (Nederlands Filmfonds) has granted us funding for the artistic development and production development of the feature, written and to be directed by Jan van Gorkum.
